Privacy

This site sets no cookies, and has no forms and no sign-in. This page lists everything a visit sends, and to whom.

Visit counts: Cloudflare Web Analytics

Each page loads a small script from Cloudflare that reports the visit. Cloudflare says Web Analytics collects “the minimum amount of information - timing metrics”, and its reports show the page, the site you came from, and your country, device type, browser and operating system.

Cloudflare says it “does not use any client-side state, such as cookies or localStorage”, and “does not track individual end users across our customers’ Internet properties”.

Like any request, the report reaches Cloudflare with your IP address and your browser’s user agent. Cloudflare says it does not “fingerprint” individuals by these for analytics. Its privacy policy covers what it does with data such as IP addresses.

Hosting: GitHub Pages

GitHub Pages serves this site. GitHub says that “when a GitHub Pages site is visited, the visitor’s IP address is logged and stored for security purposes”.

Fonts: Google Fonts

The pages load their fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser asks Google’s servers for them, and Google receives your IP address with that request.

Hardcount itself

Hardcount, the software, sends no telemetry. When you run it, data goes only to services you set up, such as Stripe and your email server.
